Privacy Statement

This policy explains how “Whitebirch.org/wblra” (hereinafter “we”, “us”, “our”, “whitebirch.org”, “http://whitebirch.org/wblra”, “Member Area”), and SMF (hereinafter “they”, “them”, “their”, “SMF software”, “www.SimpleMachines.org”, “SMF Group”, “SMF Teams”) use any information collected during any session of usage by you (hereinafter “your information”).

Your information is collected two ways. First, by browsing “Whitebirch.org/wblra” will cause the SMF software to create a number of small text files called cookies, to be downloaded on to your computer’s web browser temporary files. The first two cookies contain a user identifier (hereinafter “user-id”) and an anonymous session identifier (hereinafter “session-id”), automatically assigned to you by the SMF software. A third cookie will be created once you have browsed topics within “Whitebirch.org/wblra” and is used to store which topics have been read, thereby improving your user experience.

The second way we collect your information is by what you submit to us. This can be, and is not limited to: registering on “Whitebirch.org/wblra” (hereinafter “your account”) and posts (classified ads or real estate listings) submitted by you after registration and while logged in (hereinafter “your posts”).

Your account will at a bare minimum contain a uniquely identifiable real name (hereinafter “your user name”), a personal password used for logging into your account (hereinafter “your password”), a personal, valid e-mail address (hereinafter “your e-mail”), and your WBLRA lot number (hereinafter “your lot number). Your information for your account at “Whitebirch.org/wblra” is protected by data-protection laws applicable in the country that hosts us. Any information beyond your user name, your password, your e-mail, and your lot number required by “Whitebirch.org/wblra” during the registration process are at our discretion of what is mandatory and what is optional. Furthermore, within your account, you have the option to opt-in or opt-out of automatically generated e-mails from the SMF software.

Your password is ciphered so that it is secure. However, it is recommended that you do not reuse the same password across a number of different websites. Your password is the means of accessing your account at “Whitebirch.org/wblra”, so please guard it carefully and under no circumstance will anyone affiliated with “Whitebirch.org/wblra”, SMF or another 3rd party, legitimately ask you for your password. Should you forget your password for your account, you can use the “I forgot my password” feature provided by the SMF software. This process will ask you to submit your user name and your e-mail, then the SMF software will generate an email containing your password then send it to the email address on your account. Furthermore, Whitebirch.org will not lend, rent, sell or distribute any personal information gathered unless required to do so by court order.

Whitebirch.org nor SMF shall be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data or personal information being compromised.

All persons acquiring property within the Association agree to abide by these restrictions as well as pay a yearly maintenance fee per eligible lot owned.
